Cooper‐Anthony Mercy Child Advocacy Center (CAMCAC) was founded in Hot Springs, Arkansas by Mercy in 2003. The Center is a Mercy outreach ministry and serves its surrounding communities with satellite centers in Saline and Polk counties.
CAMCAC offers a safe, child-friendly environment, where a comprehensive and coordinated approach is taken in response to allegations of child abuse for children ages birth to 18 years. The Center is one of 17 advocacy centers in the state of Arkansas and has the unique distinction of being the only hospital-based child advocacy center in the state. The CAMCAC serves more than 700 clients annually in a four county geographic area and has offices located in both Hot Springs and Benton. In 2012, CAMCAC was awarded the highest level of membership with National Children’s Alliance, which is the accrediting agency for Children’s Advocacy Centers.
CAMCAC is a nonprofit organization and does not charge patients for utilizing any of the Center’s numerous services, thanks to the generosity of donors like you. Donations to CAMCAC help the center meet the needs of these vulnerable children. When you donate to CAMCAC, you help us continue our goal of empowering children to find their voice, heal from previous abuse and prevent further abuse.
Catherine McAuley, Mercy’s founder, had a particular concern for the poor. Even more specifically, she worked to assist women and children in need.
