Women with a Misson (WWAM) Gives Back to Mercy Co-Worker Moms

On Mother’s Day 2024, Mercy Hospital Springfield unveiled new cozy lactation rooms. These private spaces are dedicated to all the nursing mothers on the Mercy team who need a relaxing space to pump.

The Mercy facilities department put a lot of love and work into remodeling these rooms including updating the flooring, painting the walls, changing out the curtains, adding a refrigerator and new microwave as well as new chairs, tables, and personal lockers. None of this would have been possible without the generous ladies involved with Women with a Mission who provided the funding.

Thanks to Women with a Mission, six lactation rooms are now available at the hospital so co-workers don’t have to worry about where they can pump in private. And considering 78% of Mercy co-workers are women, it’s safe to say there are a lot of moms on the Mercy team!

The Women with a Mission (WWAM) giving society unites diverse women with a common goal, bringing high-quality health care to all people who need it, no matter where they live, no matter what they can afford.
