Women With a Mission Making a Difference in Mercy Joplin/SWMO Communities

Recently, Women with a Mission (WWAM) held our annual membership social where they discussed all the ways donated funds were being used to help various Mercy locations and departments.

Since their beginning in 2016, WWAM has funded $674,000 toward critical needs across Joplin, Carthage, Columbus and Galena supporting a total of 35 projects. They just recently extended their footprint to Mercy Pittsburg, and warmly welcomed ten new members to the group, including four new Pittsburg caregivers. This makes our membership one of the largest in the Mercy ministry at 122 members.

During the past year, we raised a record breaking $115,000 in funds that will be donated to:
Pediatric Clinics in Joplin and Carthage
Mercy Hospital Carthage Outpatient Medical Infusion
Ultrasound Department in Joplin
Cardiopulmonary Department at Mercy Hospital Carthage
Medical Surgical Nursing at Mercy Joplin
Outpatient Diagnostics Radiology
Surgery Center in Galena
Medical Surgical Units at Mercy Hospital Joplin
This Joplin /SWMO Communities group of ladies is truly a testament to the incredible impact achieved when women unite collectively with a shared purpose and vision.

Thank you to each one of you who continue to make a monumental impact year after year. Your dedication and generosity are truly inspiring, and together, we are making a profound difference improving health care in our communities.
