Mercy Health Foundation Jefferson recently held their first Corporate Partners Recognition Reception, which honored local organizations for their support of Mercy Hospital Jefferson. The Foundation’s corporate partners choose one of Mercy’s three funding priorities to support for a commitment of three years. The areas of support include women’s and children’s services, cancer care and behavioral health intensive outpatient services.
Ethan Bridgewater, Foundation Board Member and Chair of the Corporate Partners Committee, thanked the corporate partners and introduced Dr. Karthik Iyer, Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Jacob Peyton, President of the Medical Staff and Chair of the OB/GYN Department. They spoke about how the gifts from the Foundation have greatly impacted the care patients have received. Gifts to the Foundation in the past couple of years have allowed the Foundation to purchase neonatal crash carts, a colposcope, baby supplies for mothers in financial need, virtual care carts to connect with offsite behavioral health providers, a Trident HD specimen radiography system, chemotherapy cold capping supplies and freezer and fund the oncology nurse navigation program. Additionally, donations supported patients in need with nutritional supplements, prescription medications and transportation to and from hospital appointments.
“Thanks to our amazing corporate partners, individuals, businesses, and corporations for making these gifts possible and bringing hope and healing to so many patients and their families. We are grateful they have chosen to support the health of their community and keep care close to home,” said Andrew Held, Executive Director, Mercy Health Foundation Jefferson.
