Catherine’s Closet is named for Mercy’s Foundress, Catherine McAuley. Catherine was a shining example for us all. She and her Sisters of Mercy ministered to the poor and sick, with particular concern for women and children.
Today, the Sisters’ legacy is carried on through Mercy’s 45,000 co-workers. Each of us has answered the same call to offer health care that is innovative, compassionate and rooted in faith.
