Mercy Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization dependent on the generosity of caring individuals, corporations and foundations to support Mercy’s mission of delivering compassionate care and exceptional service to the community.
Striving to continue the legacy of Catherine McAuley, Women with a Mission giving society combines resources, vision and passion for helping others to support and improve health care in our communities.
A mission-minded woman, Catherine McAuley founded Sisters of Mercy. In 1827 she was moved to respond to the suffering and poverty she witnessed around her in Dublin, Ireland. With a $1 million inheritance she established the first House of Mercy in Dublin. Today, we continue to strive to carry on Catherine’s legacy to serve the poor, sick and uneducated – especially women, children and the elderly.
Striving to continue the legacy of Catherine McAuley, Women with a Mission giving society combines resources, vision and passion for helping others to support and improve health care in our communities. Women with a Mission giving society unites diverse women with a common goal: bringing high-quality health care to all people who need it, no matter where they live, no matter what they can afford.
All women who support Mercy with a minimum annual gift of $1,000 become a Women with a Mission member. We donate together, so our gift has greater impact — and we vote to direct how the funds will be used. Members also enjoy quarterly meetings with fun social, educational and networking opportunities — and the chance to meet like-minded women from other regions at ministry-wide events.
