Despite intermittent rain, Mercy Health Foundation Northwest Arkansas celebrated another successful fundraising event with the ninth annual Catfish, Corndogs and Cornhole Tournament, held on the Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas campus Friday, June 16. A total of 143 teams participated, collectively raising more than $105,000 to support the foundation’s ongoing efforts.
“We are incredibly grateful to all the teams and participants who joined us for this fun-filled event,” said Clark Ellison, vice president of Mercy Health Foundation Northwest Arkansas. “The success of our fundraiser would not have been possible without the unwavering support from our community. This event has become one of the highlights of our fundraising calendar, and we are thrilled to see it continue to grow.”
The Catfish, Corndogs and Cornhole Tournament featured fun-filled cornhole matches, delicious food, and refreshing beverages. True to its name, everyone who took part got to enjoy some great food, including the mouthwatering namesake catfish and corndogs, and drinks throughout the day.
Mercy Health Foundation Northwest Arkansas is grateful for all the sponsors who made the event possible, including the presenting sponsors, Post Consumer Brands and WhyteSpyder, as well as the founding level sponsors, Emery Sapp & Sons, Flintco, Focus Commercial Real Estate, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HCC Homes and PepsiCo.
The funds raised during this event will contribute to the general fund of the foundation, supporting various health care initiatives that benefit the local community.
