We imagine a place where every child can meet their full potential and every family has the tools and support they need to bolster their child’s progress. With your help, we’ll make this dream a reality, impacting thousands of children and their families in our region.
Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center will house four distinct but integrated Centers of Excellence to maximize collaborative care and increase our ability to reach underserved and disadvantaged populations.
Pediatric Therapy
Autism Diagnosis and Treatment
School Success and Learning Support
NICU Follow-up
The center will be a regional and national leader in providing exceptional evidence-guided care that is innovative, equitable and accessible for all children and families in our region.
•Nearly 20% of children experience life-altering developmental, learning or behavioral challenges, including autism spectrum disorders (ASD), attention or learning disorders and related conditions.
•Mercy has led the region in the care of children with developmental challenges and their families since 1985, and has emerged as a state leader in autism care since establishing our Autism Center in 2012.
•In fiscal years 2022-2023, we provided nearly 100,000 patient visits in our 22 distinct diagnostic and treatment programs at three sites in St. Louis and St. Charles Counties.
•The community need for our services has grown to exceed our current capacities.
•A new Mercy Kids facility will enable us to double our staff, expand existing programs and develop new ways to serve more children and families.
Mercy Kids Therapy and Development Center can double capacity with the addition of a new, state-of-the-art facility, more staff, expanded programs, and an environment where families and children will flourish. This facility will be a “hub” for diagnoses with “spoke” locations for treatments, reaching children and families where they live and work across our region.
