Love Family Women's Center Open House Set for April 3

Before the Love Family Women’s Center opens to the public, all co-workers are invited to tour the new facility at an open house on Wednesday, April 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. We’ll also have a blessing and ribbon cutting that morning.

$43 million of this project was funded by philanthropy, including a $10 million donation from the Tom and Judy Love family. The building features:

  • 15 labor and delivery rooms
  • 7 antepartum rooms
  • 47 postpartum rooms that will also be used as recovery rooms for women’s surgical recovery
  • Three C-section suites with four dedicated pre- and post-operative recovery rooms
  • 24/7 obstetrics emergency department staffed by obstetricians
  • The state’s first hospital-based low intervention birth center and midwifery clinic
  • Elevator tower with direct access to NICU
  • Outpatient pelvic floor therapy department
  • Renovated outpatient surgery center
  • 4th floor shell space for future growth

As we prepare to open this new sacred space, we want co-workers to be an active part of the fun and excitement. To celebrate the thousands of babies born at Mercy over the last 50 years, we’re creating a digital photo collage that we’ll use at opening events in early April. You can also share a picture of your Mercy baby to be included in the collage when you sign up online to receive the latest updates about the Love Family Women’s Center.*
